JANUARY NEWSLETTER 

 

Please help your child be prepared for P.E. by wearing sneakers.

 

Kindergarten & First Grade

 

The children in kindergarten and first grade will be learning how to balance on a scooter while sitting, lying, and kneeling. They will participate in may group activities that will focus on their balance, coordination, and muscular strength.

                                                                                     

 

Second & Third Grade

 

The children in second and third grade will be learning how to synergize as a team while playing basketball. Students will be dribbling, passing, and shooting during group games and activities.

 

     Fourth & Fifth Grade

 

The children in fourth and fifth grade will be learning why it is important to be a team player as they practice basketball skills. Student will be engaging in activities that focus on the skills of dribbling, passing, and shooting. The health-related fitness areas we will focus on is aerobic fitness and muscular strength and endurance.

 

Muscle Hustle

Balance- being able to maintain a center without falling over.
Cooperative- working together in a group.
like swimming, biking, and running.

  

Wellness Activities

Exercises

(repeat 3 times)

15 burpees

10 PLANK opposite Shoulder touches

20 squat jumps

Hold a SUPERMAN pose for 15 seconds

 

Fitness Fanatic

 

You don’t need a special reason to give BLOOD.

You just need your own reason.

Some of us give blood because we were asked by a friend. Some know that a family member or a friend might need blood someday. Some believe it is the right thing we should do. Whatever your reason, the need is constant and your contribution is important for a healthy and reliable blood supply. Also you’ll feel good knowing you've helped change a life.
